THIS YEAR'S GAME
This year's game from First Technology Challenge is Ultimate Goal and it offers many different ways to compete. Instead of competing against other robotics teams directly, this year we are competing in a local facility and following the necessary COVID-19 precautions. This year offers many challenges in which our team needs to overcome in order to be successful in competition. We plan to use our wide variety of skills, obtained from the last two years, in order to achieve well beyond our peers. We hope to have another amazing season and a wonderful time at competition (wherever and whenever it may be)
the 2019-2020 SEASON
Our second season proved to be drastically different than our rookie season, to say the least. Besides the abrupt conclusion of the season, we had a blast building, designing, and programming our attempt at the SKYSTONE challenge. We improved both our manufacturing and digital design/planning skills. During that season, a few of our member taught themselves CAD via Fusion 360 and were able to 3D-Print stable parts in which were crucial to our robot's overall functionality. On the top of that, other members were able to teach themselves how to create desired parts by bending metal beams into custom shapes.
OUR ROOKIE SEASON
Our rookie year proved to both our league and the world that Team #14725 was a force to reckon with. Even though we didn't make it to the State Competition, we were able to place 3rd in the state for overall ranking and we placed 2nd overall in our regional competition. Because of this success, we inspired many local, Southwest Florida groups/schools to start their own FTC teams and join us in competition. Our rookie season was a tough year but, through hard work and dedication, we were able to defy the odds and become a better team.
